The pixi lock solve was hanging with 8Gb - the memory was being saturated.

Yeah, running on a 2 core 8Gb machine takes >10m to solve the lock file which isn't acceptable 😬 - so those min requirements are needed (also beneficial for the rest of xarray stuff anyway). Note that 4 core 16Gb is also what CI runs on Good to go @dcherian |
