Using {targets} with Posit Connect

I was planning on using Posit Connect to schedule when a {targets} managed data pipeline (data load, clean, write, etc) is kicked-off. However, I can find little advice on best practice of using {targets} as a deployed application to Connect. Most of the guidance and logging/monitoring seems to be from an interactive session. Is there any guidance I have missed around how to combine these tools? My first thought was to simply deploy tar_make() within a Rmd file, but perhaps there are better ways?

I do feel the active logging compared to interactive sessions is a bit lacking in this solution.
