Steps to reproduce

I'm using Windows 11 25H2. The system color mode is set to Windows: dark, Apps: light, so the taskbar and Start are dark. Every time PowerToys update nears completion, the system color mode reverts to all light. I've noticed this issue for several versions.

I noticed that ever since I installed 0.96, when logging in, once PowerToys load, the color mode is switched to Light mode.

This was installed via MSI.

Expected Behavior is that it loads in the background unnoticed. Actual Behavior is that on load, it is setting the color mode to Light.

I noticed this too. I think it's the same issue as 43847. The 'Light Switch' toy is on by default and despite having Schedule turned off, it changes the color mode when Power Toys is closed (for me).

I was totally unaware of the 'Light Switch' toy. That totally should not be on by default.

Hey folks, have yiu been updating from 0.94 directly to 0.96? Or did you update to 0.95.0 first?

Due to an unintended bug Light Switch sas enabled by default in 0.95.0. We have resolved this bug in 0.95.1 so if you have not upgraded to 0.95.0 first, you shouldn't hit the issue.
