Though this is not supported, you could implement this in a custom (feature or record) plugin to manage the internal logic/mapping.

@tomkralidis could you provide an example or point to an existing plugin that does something similar i.e. would it be pygeoapi.formatter.base output format plugin? also how would we make sure the openapi definition respects the mapping?
