Examples of more complex Processes?

Hello,
I am hoping to use pygeoapi to develop a server which executes complex and long-running geospatial workflows. Is anyone aware of examples or real-world projects that do this? The hello-world and Shapely examples do not cover all the features needed for a real use case (such as asynchronous execution, job status updates, and returning references to large datasets). Neither have I found useful examples in the tests or the demo servers. Appreciate any leads!
