Built-in screen recorder not working properly

I am using the video recording feature of caelestia. The problem I am facing is that the following does not work:

1. Record Region
2. Record Fullscreen

However the following works:

1. Record fullscreen with sound
2. Record region with sound

What is the software used by caelestia to record? How can I configure it to let say store the files in a different folder?

Does anyone know any fixes?

gpu-screen-recorder is used for recording in caelestia. dunno if you can configure it to store files in a different location.

You can use the CAELESTIA_RECORDINGS_DIR env var to control where recordings are stored.
