Works on an old iMac18,1 (21.5-inch, 2017)

I was curious if Omarchy would install on an old iMac18,1 I had lying around. I was surprised to find that almost everything just worked out of the box! The only thing that didn't work immediately was the sound, but that was easily fixed by installing this driver for Cirrus 8409:

Just figured I'd post in case anybody else was curious about trying this out on old Mac hardware.

A1707 failing for now...

1. Login Screen cannot login using build-in keyboard even when it's working at EFI select
2. Second execution of installation failing to connect WiFi (err: 16) but can easily switch between tty sessions

For now that's it.

For whatever reason initial setup cannot connect to Office/Home WiFi (status 16), so connected to iPhone Hotspot with "Maximize compatibility", downloaded initial packages and later was able to connect to Office WiFi without any issues (no needs to do any brcm patching)

Later need to install iwconfig (yay -Sy wireless_tools) and execute iwconfig wlan txpower 10 after could easily connect to 2.4Ghz

that’s great, I have 2019 Intel i5 MacBook Air on which I want to install Omarchy. Did you both used Getting started manual - downloaded ISO, created bootable drive and installed like usual? Or did you had to do any workarounds?

Yeah, I just followed the manual. However, the iMac18,1 doesn't have a T2 Security Chip. I'm not sure what the process is for Mac hardware with the T2, might require some extra steps (I found this on google but I don't have a Mac with T2 to try it out: https://wiki.t2linux.org/distributions/arch/installation/)
