Recommended approach for setting up multiple machines with custom setup

What would be the intended approach for setting up multiple machines with a custom setup, lets say for a small company? Would you have to use default setup, and then run your own bash scripts to uninstall the things you don't want, and install / configure the stuff you do want after the iso is done? Or is there an Omarchy iso builder of sorts you could use to create your own iso, like an "extension" of the original iso? Just curious really

Yes there is indeed an omarchy iso repository available.

I did exactly what you described, creating an iso customized for our own company.

1. Fork this omarchy repository we are currently in. Remove the packages you don't like from the .packages files.
2. Fork this repo: https://github.com/omacom-io/omarchy-iso - it's the official omarchy iso builder. The readme does a good job explaining how to build the iso
   • in this repo, the file builder/build-iso.sh is the main iso creation script. What it does is, it pulls the omarchy repository and then creates an offline repository for packages etc. So probably if you only interested in changing the installed packages, simply change the .packages - files in the omarchy repository and build the iso without changing anything.

Look up Stow. You could use one repo of dotfiles that has the ideal configuration, then simply run that script as a last step after every install.
